UTF-8 and HTMLViewer

Forums:

Hello all again,

In my quest to understand this control i've plumbed this forum and the SDK's docs for pretty much all they are worth. Yesterday one of our fine moderators posted a document that explained much of the stuff that remained a mystery to me. Now Im back here again with a more general inquiry and is this: Has any of you encountered problems with any of the UTF-8 special characters? I've come in contact with a weird behavior whenever the viewer encounters a no brake space character (   ). The app dies and takes the phone down with it. We are primarly testing on an Audiovox 8910 for now. This handset is BREW 2.0 compliant.

Any of you out there with similar(or same) problems and if you have solved them, we would appreciate a lot if you could give us a hint.

Saludos,

Alhiem

Hi All
Sorry for posting in an old thread, but I need the answer to the above query too.
I am using the IHTMLViewer in my application and the requirement is such that two words have to shown - one in the left of the screen and the other in the extreme right (could we also use device coordinates to show the text in IHTML?)
For that I am using   but my phone is restarting whenever I am going to the particular screen where I have used &nbsp.
Is this feature not supported by BREW's IHTML interface.
I couldn't find in the documentation or in the forum abt this.
Thnx in advance.
Akshay
