QX Engine installation

Problem:
In the "QX EngineTM Content Creation and Tools Guide" document says:

2.1 Installing the Maya Shelf

The easiest way to integrate the exporters into Maya is to use the QXEngineShelf.mel file that is installed into your QX install directory (%QX_PATH%\QX\QXEngineShelf.mel). This shelf file will automatically bind 3 icons to the functions described below.

I run the mel file inside Maya 7 on the command line and only one icon appears; then, when i try to get the mouse over, it disappear because maya buttons cover it. Has someone seen this error too? is it a UI bug? is there a way to repair it?

Thanks in advance...

Couple of things to try:
Once you "load the shelf" you should see 4 buttons, one that says "source" and 3 others that say "export" "preview in qx model viewer" and "preview in brew viewer". You need to click the source button to get script into the Maya environment then you can run the other scripts.
If this isn't working for you, you can fall back to doing it manually:
On the mel command bar type:
source /QXExport.mel;
Then to launch the exporter type this on the mel command bar:
exportToQXFormat();
To launch the viewer type:
viewQXFormat();
You can also run the exporter itself from the dos prompt. You can do this by calling the executable you need for your Maya version. Assuming you're using Maya 7:
\QX\build\bin\QXMayaExporter_70.exe
This will output all the exported files in the same directory as the input file.

About the position... with the information you gave me i have solved that problem. :)
About the textures: I have already checked the log and found no errors. I'll try with another software to make the tga's and also using bmp's. And i'll let you know my results.
About the icons bug:
Here is the screenshot of the icon issue i mentioned at the beginning of the post.
iconsBug.jpg is the screenshot after entering "QXEngineShelf" on the mel command line in Maya.
iconsBugRollOver.jpg After rollover.
Is someone having the same bug?
This doesn't concern me much cause im doing it manually, but it would be easier.
Should I make a thread for each one of these problems?
