Flip kills app on LG VX 8300

Forums:

My app uses the secondary display to present info to the user. On the LG 8100, it works great. When I run it on the 8300, upon closing the flip, the external display info brielfy displays, then the app gets killed. Anyone else experienced this? Anyone have a workaround?

Does the app receive any events before being terminated? Is the application receiving an EVT_APP_STOP? Are you returning TRUE to EVT_FLIP?

First it gets EVT_FLIP, to which I return TRUE after enabling the secondary display, then it gets EVT_STOP and I return TRUE. Would it make sense to return FALSE in response to the stop event if the flip is closed?

Some LG devices (the 8300 should be the last one) kill BREW applications on flip events unless the app has a specific class ID. There isn't really a workaround for this behavior, but future devices (after the VX8300) should not behave this way.
