support for vCalendar

Forums:

Could somebody help me in finding a way out to handle vCalendar/iCalendar in BREW?
The requirement is:
1. Save the calendar events in vCalendar/iCalendar format. (write)
2. Get event information from vCalendar/iCalendar file (Read).

Thanks

Hi All,
I am trying to develope an application where the calendar events would be saved as vCalendar files. Also for sync purpose, the application should be able to read the vCalendar files of Outlook or other PIMs.
I was not able to figure out the APIs for the same if they exist at all.
Could somebody plzzzzz help me in this regard? If somebody has already done this kind of work, could I get in touch with him/her?
Thanks in advance.

I think for you purpose the IDateCtl is the Closest match.
But there are problems we do not have API to read or write from vCalender File format. (I think you have to port it). Then it is done.

Thank u soooooo much. This was really helpful.
I am now trying to embed the IDateCtl within BREW Forms so that I can render a better UI but reuse the custom control that comes along with the IDateCtl interface. The problem I am facing now is that when I try to create a UI form and then add the IDateCtl to it, I don't know how I should do it? Do I need to convert the IDateCtl into an widget or should I do it in some other way?
Can someone plzzzzzz enlighten me on this
Thanks in Advance (again)
Sonia.

Widgets and controls do not play well together. Try the julian date widget to see if it will work for you.

No, there are no widgets that create a month view.
