https problems...

Forums:

Hey there,

I'm trying do connect using https and had lots of problems... );

The url is

https://www.mysecureserver.com:8443/teste_ssl/teste_ssl.txt

The same url works fine on both FF and IE. It does not work in the emulator.
I always receive error -1295. the response is "" and length is 0. So, no response...

the network doesn't have any proxy or stuff like that. My secure server is not certificated by a CA, does it have to? How can I work around this issue?

Here is the code:

if (pMe->url.startsWith("https"))
if(ISHELL_CreateInstance(applet->m_pIShell, AEECLSID_SSLROOTCERTS,(void **)&pMe->piRoots) != SUCCESS)
return;

if (pMe->m_pIWeb == NULL) {
if (ISHELL_CreateInstance(applet->m_pIShell, AEECLSID_WEB, (void **)&pMe->m_pIWeb) != SUCCESS) {
return;
}

}

pMe->headerUserPass = pMe->username + ":" + pMe->password;

encodeBase64(pMe->headerUserPass);

pMe->headerUserPass = "Authorization: Basic " + pMe->headerUserPass + "\r\n";
IWEB_GetResponse(pMe->m_pIWeb, (pMe->m_pIWeb, &pMe->m_pIWebResp, &pMe->m_Callback, pMe->url.toCharArray(),
WEBOPT_HANDLERDATA, (void *)pMe,
WEBOPT_HEADER, pMe->headerUserPass.toCharArray(),
WEBOPT_STATUSHANDLER, pMe->webStatusNotification,
WEBOPT_HEADERHANDLER, pMe->readHeader,
WEBOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, IDLE_TIMEOUT_CONNECTING,
WEBOPT_IDLECONNTIMEOUT, IDLE_TIMEOUT_DOWNLOADING,
WEBOPT_DEFAULTS, pMe->piRoots,
WEBOPT_END));

Would be better to use Getesponse just like Dhaval explained in this thread ?

Which way is better?

Thanks.

When you say IE/FF is working, does it mean , https (not http) is working good?
Do you see ther access log/server log that the server gets some hit from your emulator?
what happens if you change this to http and removing root cert, can you see some result?
