deployment Issue

I have used widgets and forms in my application and compiled my project and gereated mod file and sig file. When i tried to run application device it resets the phone.
I have repeated the same steps for calculator example and its giving me the same error.

I am using Brew SDk 2.1.0 for development and widgets 1.2.3.
I have deployed the widgets and forms extensions on the phone but receiving the same error.

I have repetead the steps for a simple application (not using widgets) and it works fine there.

Please guide me what are the steps to deploy a project using widgets and forms on a phone.

What is the sdk version of the device ?
Try running your application on the devices of or greater than 2.1.3 ver.

HI ,
I am preparing the setup and deployment first time in brew. It would be great help for me if u can provide me the steps which I have to follow.
My questions are:-
1) Should I need to deploy the widgets and forms in the device on brew Sdk 2.1.0?
2) If I do have to deploy the Widgets and forms then what abt the sig files of them? Do I have to create their sig files with device ESN for widgets and forms mod files?.
3) What will be the folder hierarchy on the device of my app, widgets and forms.
Once again I m stuck of, please guide me :(

Hi,
Presuming that you have created the mod file of your application
Generally the devices having version 3.X has the support of Widgets and Forms in it, so in the devices which supports the BUIW/F (Like Motorola V3C) we have to just upload our appliaction as usual.
But if your device is of lower version and does not have the BUIW/F support, in that case you have to upload the forms and widgets files also: So in this case the overall heirarchy will be :
\urApp.mif
\urApp\urApp.mod
\urApp\urApp.sig
\widgets.mif
\widgets\widgets.mod
\widgets\widgets.sig
\forms.mif
\forms\forms.mod
\forms\forms.sig
Regarding sig files: you dont have to recreate the separate sig file for the widgets and the forms, you can reuse the urApp.sig file(On device X) by renaming it to widgets.sig and forms.sig (On device X).
I think, in you case of device having brew Sdk 2.1.0, you have to maintain the abouve file organization.
Hope this might help you,

Lalit
