Bug in Brew Resource Editor v3.0.4.7

Forums:

Hi all,

First of all I would like to ask you ppl, that can I open a bar file using resource editor v3.0. FYI, the earlier versions gave a "file format not supported" error while tryin to open a bar file. Now with this version(3.0.x), when I open any bar file. It shows me the data in it. But when I try to navigate through the objects (images in my case) in the bar while, the Resource Editor forces the system to reboot.

I request you ppl to try it and let me know if its a known issue with the Resource Editor.

Regards,
Robin

Hey Mate,
Which code are you talkin about...M just navigating thro' images from the resource editor only. No code is involved here. Pl. check and let me know if you successfully open the "bar" file in the res editor and navigation thro' the images in the bar doesnt reboot the system.

It works fine here. Though you can open ".bar" file in a Resource editor, it is designed to open ".brx" or ".bri" files only.
As it opens the objects as HEX data, some of the images you have in the .bar maybe the causing the crash. try checking it with a simple .bar file(with one or two images).
If it doesn't work even then, the resource editor's dll's may be corrupt, try re-installing the tools suite.
