Problem while displaying pop up message on the OEM screen.

Forums:

Hello Friends,
We want to show the pop up in brew application. The pop should be such that it gets displayed over any native OEM screen(e.g when camera is on).We tried to show the pop up but observed that brew cleans the background (to white) though we are not calling IDISPLAY_Clearscreen().As a result the native oem screen gets vanished. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks and regards,

Hello Jaywant,
It is possible to achieve this.
For this you need to set the Popup flag in the mif file.

Hi Lalit
Where exactly do we have to put this flag in the MIF file?
Although i am able to display the pop up without the way u r suggesting by simply setting the focus to my pop up on clicking of the soft key.

Are you able to achieve the required output without setting the popup flag?
Or you are displaying the popup in you application and the screen behind the popup is one of your application screen?
which Api you have used to display the popup?

Hi Lalit
I am displaying a pop up on my own application screen. Not on the OEM screen i.e say on a camera screen. There is no particular API to show the pop up specifically.
I am simply using the menu control, setting its coordinates and activating it on a soft key control. :)
