Touching at two different screen locations simultaneously

Forums:

Hi,
I am currently developing applications for TS enables phones on simulator.

Is it possible that we can get event/position of the X/Y if we touched two different locations on the TS enabled phone at same time?

This will be like as we drag'n'expand images by clicking at diffenrnt ends of the image and expand/contract. This wont be possible by Stylus ;)

Thanks
Sam

Surely "at the same time" really means "sufficiently close in time". If I touch my fingers to the screen at the same time, there will be some difference between the contact times, even if it's only nanoseconds different. In essence, there are two separate events, and you need to treat separate events within a certain delta-T as simultaneous. The only question then is whether BREW handles it, or your application does - clearly either could.

Sam,
I assume that you are describing a multi-touch interface in wich two touch points can manipulate the user interface at the same time. An example of this would be to use your thumb and index finger moving towards each other on the screen to decrease the size of an item between the fingers. In BREW 3.1.5.142 this type of interface is not yet implemented.
I believe there are plans to implement this type of interface in the future, but am unaware of what version it will be released in.
Thanks,
Rob
