Cancelation of Timers associated with an Application.

Forums:

Hi,

I want to know that when an application moves to background, does any timer associated with that application gets canceled by the BREW Shell, or is it still retained?

The BREW API Reference only states that the timer associated with an application gets canceled in case the application closes without canceling it.

It's best to close any timers when the app is shutting down.
At times callbacks can be issued when the app may have been shutdown mostly in case of alarms.
