Forums:

Hi
I have some forms to be displayed which goes well beyond the screen.
can anyone help me with making a page scrollable (not auto-scrollable) without using UIWidget.
I tried putting all the labels and ITXTCTL controls in side an AEERect but couldn't

I used the HTMLViewer for making the page scrollable when my data was going beyond the screen size. If u can use it to display your forms try it out.
My data was all text so it was pretty easy to use IHTMLViewer - what does your form contains (I mean data)?

my form largely contains ITextCtl and labels.
Actually i have, kind of, completed the coding based on the simulator screen size and there is fine the UIetc
but one one of the device with a smaller screen sie this is a issue. Going for IHTML would mean a complete re-designing and re-coding which i want to avoid.
Any other way to make the screen scrollable automatically if the contents doesnt fits the screen??

See there is IStatic control if the data to be dispalyed is all text, I am not sure whether you can use the same rectangle area(static control one) for displaying the text control as both the cntrols will have their respective handle events and they might not work properly when overlapped.
You can try in one screen the IHTML viewer, if it suits ur requirement then go for redesigning ur code and UI otherwise create ur own custom screen which would handle all the scenarios that you are having problem in.

You can use IControl which can hold many controls and can control the handle event as per the contol focus.

Hi mahesh
Controls is not a prob. Even wen the elements are outside screen area 'm able to modify tyhe contents (though blindly ;) )
But how to stack the data vertically on the screen which could be scrolled!!
Note: with ISTATIC also the only option we get is 'auto-scroll' not of much use except to display some text info :(

See the examples with the SDK, there they have shown some text controls with data. I think those might solve the problem.
Hope this helps.
