Closing slider is causing app to crash

Forums:

Hi all,

NSTL has failed my app recently due to a crash on closing slider and launching app simultaneously. the app handle evt_flip and evt_keygaurd both events and will run successfully on all clamshell devices but on slider devices it crashes.
Its a J2ME to brew converted code and i have very small idea of app's entry point.
what i observed is whenever we launch the app it creates a Midlet and calls startApp() instead of handle_event().

any one can plz help me out....
any help any suggestions??

Thanks

Slider phones get the EVT_KEYGUARD event but it is nothing to do with crash. May be you are doing something wrong on this event. Debug your code.

Another thing is that on slider handsets you could get a close to idle when slide is closed.. but that's same as flip close.
I would suggest looking through debug logs (if any). Do you have any slider handsets to debug this ?

Yes i have a slider device,
the device for which i got NSTL failure is SCH - U650.
it gives me assertion failed on logger when i give OK and slider close both together and results the devices power cycle.
How i can prevent this j2ME code to get two simultaneously running threads (created on two simultaneous events).
is the devices itself has any known issue.
one strange thing i observed on logger for u650 is whenever i close slider even from BAM(brew app manager) it throws BPOINT exception everytime.
