Notification for changes in the address book

Forums:

Hello,

Is there any way, so that I will come to know about the changes in the native Address Book data? ( addition, deletion , modification)

I mean how my application will know that the content in the native address book has been updated or altered with any operation.

Can we get such kind of notification in our app, just like incoming SMS, low memory etc?

I will appreciate your help or suggestion for this kind of problem

Thanks
Lalit

Nothing like this is available as of now.

Thanks Atul,
Thanks for the quick response.
Another question is that, Is there any way to know the last updated time of the records in the address book?
Is it possible to sort the address book according to the last updated time of the records and then enumerate it?
I have found one constant in the header file "AEE_ADDRFIELD_TIME_STAMP", any idea how to use this constant?
Thanks,

I couldn't see handsets supporting AEE_ADDRFIELD_TIME_STAMP field. If supported you can use it like any other field. BTW, you can even use user defined field for that matter & specify the time.

Well thanks for the reply Atul,
I was wondaring to display the list in the address book according to last modified date and time. But it seems that although the fields AEE_ADDRFIELD_TIME_STAMP is defined and documented in the SDK but the device manufacturer has not provided its support in there Address book application.
