Suppressing native SMS client after SMS receipt.

Forums:

I'm developing an SMS message receiver client.

I'm registering for incoming SMS message notifications via ISHELL_RegisterNotify(), and then retrieving the SMS message content via the ISMS_ReceiveMsg() mechanism. Everything is working great, and my app is obtaining and decoding the message content beautifully.

However, I can't see an obvious way to prevent the *native* SMS client on the phone from also helpfully popping up to announce the arrival of the same SMS message. I would (obviously) like my own app to be the only one to respond to and handle incoming SMS messages.

Do I need to mark the SMS message as handled or something to prevent other apps from being notified? How do I ensure that my app is the one and only SMS message handler?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or pointers on this; the BREW docs seem to be pretty silent on the subject.
