Applications won't launch on hardware

My application was running on a Pantech CDM8992, but the firmware seemed a little flakey, so I upgraded it. However after doing so my application would no longer launch.

To test whether it was an issue with my app I created a new app from the Brew templete in MVS, however this didn't launch either. Thus the conclusion is there is a problem with the firmware.

So I reinstalled the previous version of the firmware, assumign there was a problem with the later version, but still neither my app nor the template will launch.

What can I do?

(Application being installed, successfully, via the Loader. Attempting to start the apps manually on the device by clicking their icons, apps installed in the ROM can be launched, but nothing installed via Loader).

Can you make sure you are using Qualcomm certified latest software build?
Saying "apps installed in the ROM can be launched, but nothing installed via Loader", do you mean to say that static apps are working but issue is with dynamic apps loaded using app loader.
Can you let me know the device s/w build you are using?

If there is an app on the phone after reflashing then it will launch, while apps which have been installed using the Loader will not.
The software version is D8992VWB745F.210

Update: I got my hands on another of the same device with a different software version, D8992VWB851F.235, and things work on there ok.
