File Upload using IWEB Interface

Forums:

Hi,
I have few questions regarding IWEB and file transfer to a HTTP or FTP server.
- is it possible to upload file from handset to a HTTP/FTP server using IWEB and HTTP POST?
- If yes, how? Are there any sample codes?
- If no, then how this can be accomplished? Are there any sample codes?

Thank you,

Mustafa

I dont think that you can do it directly by using any of brew interfaces.
You will have to write your own Server side script, which takes the input and write the same in a file.
You can call this serverside script from handset with part of file in packets, packet size will depend on the max data you can post to a URL (normally maximum url length) from handset.

Also you can develop your own server application to which you can connect using sockets. This is a little bit more complicated, but the results are definetly better. ;)
Or you can use FTP, available in BREW.
