How to input mutiply lines in static control?

Forums:

I don't know how to input more then one line in static control, will any one show me a method to do this using resource editor and programming.

put newline characters ('\n') into the character strings before calling setText or setTextEx.

I use the method but can' t solve the problem. In output window , I saw the newline character replaced by two small square marks. In handset screen , nothing is displayed in static control.
I add newline character in char[] first and change char[] to AECHAR[].
Have I done anything wrong?
Thanks a lot!

Use setex and before that set properties to accept ASCII text, so you dont have convert in to AEEChar and it will accept newline as it is.

If you really want to use AECHAR in your multiple-lines ISTATIC, you'll have to eliminate all the LF (line feed) characters from the source char string.
