Mod File

Forums:

Hi,

I was able to generate mod file using armcc. nut it seems that it resets the phone when loaded. How to check if the mod file created is corrupted or not.

How to generate afx file? arm debugger takes only file in afx format to debug.

Thanks in advance.

See the sample make file comes with SDK, to ensure that you have correct compiler/linker flags. There is no on device debugging facility.

Handset resets are typically not a case of "corrupt" mod files. They are typically a sign that you have some serious bugs in your application, such as unaligned data, etc.
Let the linker create a MAP file and check that for alignment issues, etc.

Hi michael,
To debug on handset you could only use the DBGPRINTF and BREW Logger supplied with BREW Toolset.

Hi michael,
Cell hardware doesn't support the Integerated Debugger which we enjoy on the PC environment. As far i know this the only method available to debug on ARM mode. So the better debug your module in Emulator and you can use the DBGPRINTF and BREW Logger for tweaking only.
