return text position

Forums:

Hi,

Is there a way to return the current character poisition (rRect cordinants) of a text string in BREW?

Thank you.

AFAIK, there is no concept of "current" position in BREW.
You specify a position to draw the text.
You can use text metrics and MeasureText to figure out where to draw your text.
If you want to maintain a cursor-like last position, you need to do it yourself.

I need to get the postion because scrollbar keeps appearing where I don't want them to appear. Since there is no way to turn off scrollbar in BREW, I need to find an alternative. Any idea?
