Large SMS Transactions & Concatenation

Forums:

Hi. The BREW User's Guide is rather light on information regarding SMS transactions. I understand that SMS messages can be caught via the EVT_APP_MESSAGE event and sent via the ITAPI. The User Guide makes no mention about max SMS message size though or any recommendation regarding concatenation if needing because the message is too large. So, my question is, how best to handle this? Is it left to the developer to cook up their own protocol and handle their own segmentation/concatenation, or are multiple SMS transactions handled by BREW somehow and/or the SMSC?
Thanks!

Just bumping this back to the top to see if I can generate a little interest. Any general SMS pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

SMS restrictions are imposed by the network. Many carriers will only allow ~150 7-bit characters. So anything out of standard ascii is unsupported.
Starting in 3.x, the ISMS API adds a lot more functionality to BREW.

Hi
I want to send a large data over SMS.
So I am trying that by multiple SMS.
But in that case some SMS are not send, even ITAPI_SendSMS returns me SUCCESS.
I keep the time interval of 4 sec between two sms.
