shared directory in 3.x

Forums:

Does anyone know how the shared directory works in 3.x? I'm working with two phones, neither of which have a dds. Looking at the apploader, there isn't a shared directory under brew/mod.

You should be able to see brew/shared in AppLoader. You can access it in your code using "fs:/shared/"
Please note that for Verizon devices, the shared directories will not get enumerated by the native UI. You need to store it under media content paths specified in AEEMCPaths.h

Look at the IFILEMGR_CheckPathAccess function description in the 3.1.4 BREW API reference guide. This explains sharing directories in detail.
