Forums:

I am trying to acess internet in brew application.

I have tested my application (accessing public sites google & other sites) on Motorola L7 on which it runs properly, but on Moto v3c it always give error code -1289. On same v3c device our other web applications accessing our own server(may be white listed) work properly.

Is it possible to access Public Sites through brew appliction with Indian Carrier like TATA, Reliance?

I have gone through various posts on this forum, but haven't got prominent answer. Some telling about internet profile(brewuser, Internet...), other telling White Listing of IP address, some to discuss with operator. Can anyone help on it?

Both of this apply for TATA & Relience.

for internet acess you need the following settings on the device.
The PAP username/password:
TATA: internet/internet
RIL: MDN/MDN where MDN is the mobile number of the device.

Even after doing these settings sometimes some public sites may not be accessable. you need to contact the operator for getting the site/url un-blocked.
For contacts check the "Go to Market"->India->TATA & Relience section on this website (https://developer.brewmp.com/go-to-market/opportunities/147)

Thanx for reply.
i have already check these username/password setttings on V3c-TATA device, through Web session seetttings, but still dosen't work, may be i haven't done it correctly.
Can u plz tell me the proper way to do it?
Again is there any way through code we can handle username/password settting? So that end-user don't have to do any extra setting while using application.

not sure of Web session settings. generally these are set via OEM Tools or device's hidden codes - under Brew Parameters.
r u able to access internet on the device if you connect it as a Modem via PC?
u may also send the device to Qualcomm-Hyderabad office for re-flashing/settings(specifying your issues). request has to be placed via support portal(right side in this page).
or talk to the contacts at TATA for getting it resolved.
