Forums:

I just thought id mention that the 3.0 sdk is now available for download, since many of you may not be aware of it (the only reason i noticed was that someone made an offhand mention in a thread about using 3.0).

Anyway, it looks like it has a lot of the features people have been requesting, especially command line support for mif editor and bci files. (maybe we can use the command line tools with 1.x, 2.x development???)

Though 3.0 devices are probably a while off.. maybe we can use the updated tools and simulator (they actually renamed the emulator to simulator as well).

I havent checked it out too much yet, but just wanted to give everyone the heads up.

Also, is there any mailing lists that people are signed up for that get information like this.. I hate finding out about stuff offhand/secondhand... any help would be appreciated.

All you have to do is become a registered developer with Qualcomm and you will receive regular emails with that sort of information.

Dragon:
I have access to the Extranet and such... is this what you mean by "registered developer"?.. Do you know of anywhere you can check settings/preferences for this? Maybe because i have a sub-account i dont recieve the mails? if so, since I am the person doing actual development, it would be nice if i were the one to get the latest news.
Brew Support: any help here?

I'm not sure. As soon as I was registered as a developer through one of the companies I'm working with, I started receiving emials fomr Qualcommm where they informed me about new carriers, new handsets and the SDK updates. I didn't have to do anything, really.

Hrm.. I am also working through another company.. I thought that might be the reason, but it sounds like you are the same.. Perhaps I registered earlier than you and the infrastructure wasnt set up or something.
Anyway, i emailed brew support and hopefully they can help me out.
Thanks for your input Dragon.

Anytime. If you DO find a decent Brew mailing list somewhere, let me know, though. I'd be interested to take a look as well.
