Hi all ,
in CMX studio i want to insert an animation but i observed that only the animation that are in format of .saf or .nsp or .mor can be inserted .
so if anybody has information regarding how to create animation in these formats.or any tool that i can use to create them .please let me know ,i will be highly thankfull for him/her.

Thank you in advance
Kuldeep

Depending on where you downloaded the CMX Studio installer from, it should have automatically installed SAF Animator along with CMX Studio. SAF Animator is the one and only tool that can be used to create .nsp files. The only CMX Studio installer that also installs SAF Animator is available from the CMX Developers Site (https://cmx.qualcomm.com).
It also sounds like you might have an outdated version. The current version of CMX Studio is 4.0.14. You can check version number on the opening splash screen.

thanks Melodi for your reply .
Now i have the SAF editor but i dont understand how to make animation through this .as i can see that it will generate the animation by the use of frames but i am not able to place any image in frames .
In case of Binary compressed image authority tool we simply place images and generate the .BCI animation.
do saf editor have some different prcedure to make an animation ..?

No. SAF uses frames but it does more than say a BCI or animated GIF. You create objects and manipulate these objects in a series of frames. It can be a little tricky to get used to but I'd recommend checking out the "Carerra" tutorials available at the same CMX Developers Connection where you downloaded CMX Studio. It does a good job of explaining SAF animation.
If you looking to just put a series of existing images into a CMX file, I would recommend simply importing PNGs or JPGs into CMX Studio. That might give you faster results. However, for higher frame rates and smaller file sizes, SAF animation is better.
