We are not able to add the HTC phone device to the SDK tool as a physical deveice although the computer is able to recognize it and connect it to the HTC manager on the computer and able to sync.  When selecting the BTIL com port and trying to connect the device, the SDK provides the following error, "No BTIL device found at that com port.  Please select another com port.  Please note that if BTIL is not installed on the device, it will not be detected correctly.  You can use e:\Program files\qualcomm\brew MPSDK\toolset 7.12 Rev 5.0.2461610\\deprecated\btil\host\bin\bci.exe to install the BTIL client and then try detecting the device again."

We tried installing the BTIL as noted in the error above, but receive another error.  It also says it may need a signature file (not mandatory) but there is no signature file in the location where it is looking for.  BTIL is not able to connect to the device for installation of the software (connection timeout)

The desktop and SDK is using Windows 7.  The mobile device is HTC-F5151 with Brew MP 1.0.2.549.1

Hi,

Did you select the correct connection type in the phone? Debug Mode AND Developer Mode>one of the options with USB Gateway should be selected.
