Hi.

Could you, please, clarify, what is the expected behaviour of a handset when application is in datacall and incoming SMS arrives?
NSTL passed our application with notes that the phone only beeps in this case, no message appears. However, our application correctly handles suspend/resume event even during datacall, so, I guess that’s the handset problem if it’s not suspending application during datacall? We are experiencing thowe “NSTL issues” with LGE VX6000, VX4500 and VX7000 handsets, probably there are more (4600, 4400?).
So, could you please confirm the following problem for the mentioned devices: EVT_APP_SUSPEND is not sent to an active application making datacall when incoming SMS arrives. Instead of this handset only beeps and displays message icon on annunciator.
Also, could you, please, describe the correct behaviour in this case?

If the application has a datacall open when an SMS is received, BREW is NOT suspended. This is a carrier requirement designed to prevent the data connection from being terminated when BREW is suspended. Your application is behaving as expected.
