Hi all,

When i press the exit (ISHELL_CloseApplet(theApplet->m_pIShell, false);) from main menu, the game exit to app manager then it starts the first application in app manager.

This happens in LGVX6000.

Thanks.....

Chk whether an extra EVT_KEY event is sent to app or not.

I have the same problem in the Motorola V710 and the LG 7000.
I am curious if there is a different way to fix this problem other than the ones already mentioned?

Was the cause of the problem the fact that you were calling ISHELL_CloseApplet() on an EVT_KEY_PRESSED? If so, is there some reason the above solutions would not work for you?

Thanks for the reply. I am able to fix the problem using the above method but I still want to gain a better understanding of this problem.

The problem is that there are bugs in key events in v710/lg7000. That's why we need to put workaround.
For example, LG7000 has an additional bug in key event, when you select application from application manager and start the application by pressing select/OK button, it would start the application and send AVK_SELECT/KEY_RELEASE event.

Hi,
Whenever you found this type of problem, use EVT_KEY instead of EVT_KEY_PRESS in the HandleEvent.

Hi guys,
I know it’s been a while since you guys discussed this issue....
I am seeing similar issue on Motorola V325.
On exit from my app, the brew manger runs another program pointed to [select] button. I am using EVT_KEY. not sure what else could be done to prevent the app manager from running other apps.
Also, when the CLR button is pressed, instead of going back to the 'Get Going' list (I am testing on a Verizon wireless handset), the control is transferred to 'Get it now' as if the clr button was pressed twice at end. I have seen similar behavior with other released applications available from Verizon deck. Not sure how they went past NSTL. Is this a known issue on this handset?
Thanks in Advance

Are you sure you're not using EVT_KEY_PRESSED? This sounds like the same type of behavior you'd expect to see if you were doing so.

Max,
no..not using EVT_KEY_PRESSED
But, I found the solution....
I had 5.28.09 version of the software on my handset. Looking at the phone’s datasheet, Qualcomm recommended 5.28.1CP (R-1_X_05.28.1CP). I have now installed that software and the issue is gone!!!!
thanks
