Hi All

I am developing an application which is also getting developed in J2ME.
My problem is tat - in J2ME there is something called as Gradient color scheme where mixing of colors is done to make the UI look different.
Is this possible in Brew?
I am able to show only one color in the whole application.
Also I have to make all the Brew Interfaces in tat color only.

Please provide your valueable inputs how to achieve the same thing(in J2ME - gradient colors) in Brew also???
Thanks in Advance

Regards,
Akshay

I don't see anything like this in Brew3.x. see IDrawDecorator in the BrewUI widgets extension.

Thanks for the link.
Can u please tell me how to use this n which one to download.
It will need to be installed, how to link with the application after that?
Will it directly work with the 3.x BREW SDK's???
Thanks & Regards

Hi akshay,
Just download the BREW UIW(either 2.0.1 or 1.4.3) and install it.
You can create themes for your application with the help of this extension ,but for that you have to design your apps according to BREW UIW interfaces.
Check the BREW UI widgets api reference guide provided with the sdk, and only go for it if it fulfil your requirement.

Hi all
I am writing this query after a long time - I installed the BUIW 1.4.3.
Now I am creating a sample app in 3.x using the code mentioned in the hellowidgetapp(under function hellowidgetapp_CreateHelloWidget).
For the sample I have attached my mif and the C file(as a text file) for the procedure followed by me.
But I am unable to create the ROOTCONTAINER instance - its returning me ECLASSNOSUPPORT. Please tell me where am I going wrong and wat needs to be done.
Also please tell me - how to use the IDrawdecorator in the same app - for themes.
Thnx a lot in advance.

I think you didn't have widget ext at right place. If you are getting this error on simulator, you need to copy forms and widgets ext(mif & dll) to dir from where you are running the app. For handset, you need these ext to be loaded or preloaded on it. if not,you will get error 3.

Hi Atul
I have got the BUIW installed in my C drive.
I am creating the applications in my D drive giving the path of the widgets, forms
like the following
$(BUITDIR)/widgets/inc, $(BUITDIR)\forms\inc\bid, $(BUITDIR)\forms\inc, $(BUITDIR)\widgets\inc\bid and C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\BREWUIWidgets_1.4.3\xmod.
Do I still need to put the files in my application folder?
If yes then wat will the procedure - should I copy the widgets and forms folder from program files into my application directory?
