I want to access the phone number of BREW device from my BREW application? Is it possible to access it? or whether it is device dependent or OEM implementation dependent? Can I simulate this on BREW simulator.

Thanks and Regards,

You can access the phone number of BREW device from BREW application using IAddrBook and IAddrRec.

You might be able to get the device's phone number from the address book, but this assumes that the phone's number is actually stored there and that you can figure out which record is the right one. Some phones do this, but I am pretty sure it is not guaranteed across all handsets. Besides, this has actually been asked and answered before:

Basically you may not necessarily be able to get the device's phone number directly through BREW, but you can get the MDN, which is often the phone number. And for versions before BREW 2.1.3.5, you can get only get the MIN, which is less useful, but might work:

Did you check if you have the privilege to get the MDN?
You need to have the dependency 0x0101B3AD in your mif.
I never have problem in getting the MDN, which is the phone number, at least on every Verizon BREW phone.

MDN is not always a PHONE number it is depend upon service provider,

I've already set thid dependency.
I can't get the number it through sms or call, since I need to get the number of the host device.
If we can't get the mobile number through MDN, is there some other way, we can get it?
