hi,

I have created one text widget with search option (ex: created contacts screen with one text widget at the top to search contacts) for first time i pressed # key to disable the dictionary mode and after that i pressed 2 key 'a' character has drawn in text widget, after 200 milli seconds i am redrawing total screen( again setting IWidget_SetInputMode(TextWid, AEE_TMODE_MULTITAP)), now iam trying to enter other character, dictionary mode is automatically enabling. How to disable dictionary mode before drawing that screen. I am using QRD 6240 candy bar device.

You need to set dictionary off from device settings. Go to Settings->Phone Settings->Input Setting->English Input and set it to abc.

Usually T9 mode is associated with dictionary but that is not working on this handset. I couldn't see any API to get dictionary mode settings. I think you should display message to user to change modes on # key as generally happens in native apps like new message app.
