Forums:

I am unable to get sockets connections functioning at the same time as telephony connections:

https://developer.brewmp.com/forum/using-sockets-individually-ok-using-telephony-individually-ok-combine-them-and-not-ok

and it has been suggested on a handset at least IPHONECTL_SetPrefNetworks could be used to enable data connections during voice calls.

However the SDK documentation for IPHONECTRL_SetPrefNetworks is so scant there's not really any point in documenting it at all:

https://developer.brewmp.com/reference/api/brew-mp-102/iphonectlsetprefnetworks

In particular there's no documentation for AEETUserPLMNList, whose documentation is similary pointless:

https://developer.brewmp.com/reference/api/brew-mp-103/aeetuserplmnlist

as it contains no information about AEETUserPLMNInfo, whose doucmentation is similarly pretty useless.

The telephony guide, has no information on this either:

https://developer.brewmp.com/resources/tech-guides/telephony-technology-guide

So how to use this function to enable data connectivity simultaneously to telephony connectvity?

Will it work on the simulator?

Is there an alternative method?

TIA

IPHONECTL_SetPrefNetworks() may be set via values retured by available n/ws.if you check/call ITELEPHONE_GetPhoneInfo() it returns AEETPhInfo.you may set the PrefNetworks using the values returned in AEETPhInfo ( AEETUserPLMNList user_pref_networks; , AEETDetailedPLMNList available_networks;) from ITELEPHONE_GetPhoneInfo().moreover, i am not sure that these setting can allow simultanious voice & data, where did you find this info that setting prefNetworks can allow it?simultanious voice & data depends on both - device capabilities & the n/w.

I saw it mentioned in this thread:

How do you configure the simulator for simultaneous data and voice? I've tried setting the simulator to different network types but it makes no difference - still have problems with simultaneous voice and data connectivity but they work on their own.

Simulator does not fully support simultanious voice & data.
There are no such settings on simulator.

In case if there is a incomming call, the ISocketPort_Bind() operation fails internally with a error that points to - "Resource Unavailable".
If the Socket is bound before receiving a incomming call, you may be able to send data over the connection.
