BREW3.1.5

In OEMFS.c, I never see the implementation for setting Description on File, So I always think IFileMgr_SetDescription only be implemented in AEE Layer, Maybe it only bind the description info(which be stored in the persistent storage) with the file.

And I tested it on Simulator, Seems I am correct. IFileMgr_SetDescription always reture success, even if the setted file is not exist.

BUT, as long as the setted file is started with fs:/card0/, IFileMgr_SetDescription always return FAIL.

And in the handset environment, even when the file started with fs:/card0/ is existed in the MMC card, and IFileMgr API can access it(Already Implemented the MMC File access in OEMFS), IFileMgr_SetDescription still return FAIL every time.

the tested App have the System Privilege.

Could you help analyse why this problem happen? How to set description for the file started with fs:/card0/ ?

coz this problem lead to failure when test OATFS for setting description for fs:/card0

Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot
But the known issue is for BREW SDK 3.1.4. our handset is based on BREW3.1.5, does BREW SDK 3.1.5 also has this issue?? Further more, Does BREW PKM3.1.5(the handset environment)also have this issue(We have porting our MMC card file system access to BREW IFile/IFileMgr according to fs:/card0)??

Thanks a lot

Yes, I believe the issue continues to exist in 3.1.5, but the CR was just never cloned to the appropriate release. Please open an SR through qishelp.qualcomm.com for verification.
