Forums:

I am developing a simple BREW text application which would test the device specific information (ie, screen dimensions, color bits, platform ID etc..) and displays those into an output file. I have to query one more thing about Image formatting. Like, it should tell you what type of image the device supports....such as, does it support BMP,MPEG,PNG images or not?

I am trying to find it in the BREW API. Need help.... can anybody give me a feedback? :)

Thanks.

Try using:
ISHELL_GetHandler ( IShell * pIShell, AEECLSID clsBase, const char * pszIn )
A valid classID should be returned if the device supports the mime type. Mor info in API. Here is an example for gif:
cls = ISHELL_GetHandler(pMe->a.m_pIShell, HTYPE_VIEWER, "image/gif");

Try using:
ISHELL_GetHandler ( IShell * pIShell, AEECLSID clsBase, const char * pszIn )
A valid classID should be returned if the device supports the mime type. Mor info in API. Here is an example for gif:
cls = ISHELL_GetHandler(pMe->a.m_pIShell, HTYPE_VIEWER, "image/gif");

Hello Jonathan,
Thanks for your help. I am a novice in BREW app developing :). I will try on this.
