I want to do some post-processing for video. I enabled frame callback and call IMEDIA_GetFrame() to get each frame, then blit it to screen.
It works well for Samsung U620 and Motorola V3c, but for LG Chocolate (VX8500), I only get "MM_STATUS_FRAME" twice at the beginning, then there is just "MM_STATUS_TICK_UPDATE", no more "MM_STATUS_FRAME". and the video stops at the firt frame (or second frame, who knows). I know it's still playing because I can hear sound. I just can't get the following frames.

Has anyone met the similar problem? How to solve it?

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

I've seen the same behavior on the LG VX8600 as well as the Nokia 6315i. Both give you the first two frames of video and then just tick updates.
Although audio does continue to play...
I've had a QIS ticket open for the last 3 weeks about it...I'll post something if I ever get anything back.
We've had no problems on the LG VX9900 or most of the Motorola Razors (k1m, v3c, etc.)

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply, did you get any feedback?

Hi Steve,

Still waiting for an engineer to look into it...the ticket is currently open as 'Assigned to Resource'.
I'll post when (if?) I get an official response...anyone see this happen on any phones other than the three previously listed in this thread ( LG VX8500, LG VX8600, and Nokia 6315i)?

P.S. http://qishelp.qualcomm.com appears to be down - I can't access the site anymore?

MM_STATUS_FRAME only call twice in notify function...
My phone: LGAX8600

it looks like not coding issue.
Tested on veriozn's RAZR and received continus MM_STATUS_FRAME event.

Yeap, it's not a user error...from the sound of it, there is a new firmware patch for the LG VX8600 that fixes this (according to QIS support).
The new firmware version: T86VZR03
Our LG VX8600 firmware version is T86VZV02...not sure if it's available at your local Verizon store...but hopefully will be soon. Will be nice to get this phone to work...
So I'm assuming that the problem occuring on the other phones noted in this thread isthe same bug (LG VX8500 and Nokia 6315i).
If you get a firmware update (or know of an upcoming one) for either of these phones that fixes the video playback bug, it'd be great if you could post it here.
Regards,
Steve

Thanks Steve. have you tried the new firmware. is the problem fixed?
The firmware version for my chocolate is T85VZV06.
Do you know if there is an updated version for chocolate?

I haven't had a chance to get down to the local VZ store and see if the upgrade fixes it...it's on the to-do list - I'll update the thread once I get time.
As far as the other phones, I don't know about updates for them...might want to e-mail QIS support or just call your local VZ store.

I tested several phones:
1. Alltel Samsung U520 does not work, only get Frame twice, and the clip stop.
2. Alltel LGVX8600 does not work, the same issue.
3. Verizon LGVX8300, it works properly, can get each Frame.
4. Verizon Motorola V3M, it works properly, can get each Frame.
