Here's the problem: I have an application that runs quite well on the Kyocera X414 when there is a MIDI playing in the background. As soon as you turn off the music, however, the game play becomes jerky and slows way down. Furthermore, if you hold a key down, any key, the progress picks up again.

I have tried a few things to fix this. I have created a MIDI that is entirely made up of rest notes, ie. silence, and played that in the background instead of my actual music MIDI. That didn't work.

I also tried throwing an AVK_SOFT1 event with ISHELL_SendEvent() to simulate holding a key. This event is actually thrown, but once again, it didn't fix the problem.

I tried returning TRUE to the EVT_APP_NO_SLEEP event, which didn't work either.

The interesting thing is that the exact same code runs just fine on a Motorola C343.

Any ideas what I can do to make this little guy run like I want him to?

Are you doing anything about EVT_BUSY? If you get this event I think you also want to be returning TRUE.
