On some opengl - es hardware accelerated device like samsung u940 , lg vx9100.
I notice that some part of screen is not rendered at all , as if opengl - es is switching
between width and height of the device (so some part of screen is never rendered).

How can I determine if this is a driver issue , or opengl-es initialization problem.?
(anyways we never specify width / height of screen for egl init , except during glViewport call).

Has anyone got opengl-es corretly working on these devices.?

Thanks for any hints , suggestions.

I have observed this issue too, on the u960. It seems to ignore IDisplay_setprefs rotation when rendering in opengl. Anyone found workarounds or official errata?

the problem is with using eglSwapBuffers....
instead of:
eglSwapBuffers
call:
glFlush()
glFinish()
IBITMAP_Invalidate(device_bitmap,&entire_screen_rect);
IDISPLAY_UpdateEx(device_display,false)
Using this you will be able to solve landscape/potrait issue, LG 8700 weird display issue also [:)]

I am also facing a weird display issue on Lg 8700 but the solution suggested doesn't work for me :(
Problem with my application is--> after some initial screens the display glitches and its not possible to move further, its the same point where I call eglSwapBuffers().
can anyone suggest me the possible cause of this issue.
any help/hint is highly appreciated.
