Hi,
I want to save name and phone number into the address book. I am facing an issue that when the name length is less than 21 characters then it gets saved otherwise not.

Do we have any IADDRBOOK API that can tell me about the max characters supported in the address book fields?

There is API IADDRBOOK_EnumNextFieldsInfo() that returns AEEAddrFieldInfo*. There is a member nMaxItems but its something else than expected.

Please let me know.

Thanks
Sam

Check device pack for max length for each field.

Thanks Atul.
Can I get this info programatically?
Moreover when I load the device packs(downloaded from qualcomm site), I get 4-5 alert pop ups and all the information fails to load in the device details tab of the emulator so remains unknown.
Is this the known issue with the recent device packs Or some issue with my brew simulator. I am using brew simulator 3.1.5.145.
Thanks
Sam

I don't think there is any such API.
IADDRBOOK_EnumNextFieldsInfo() that returns AEEAddrFieldInfo*has nMaxItems: Maximum allowed number of items of this fieldID in each record. Not length of field.
Those warnings are mostly related to parsing...mostly due to device pack schema versions. If device pack schema is old..it asks you to upgrade to new schema....don't do that...always say no.
anything else is related to missing files.
