Hi,
Can I have 4 sockets simulataneously listening at different ports?

I have an application where i need to have 4 sockets always in Readable Mode.
I also have to update the UI with the data received at the same time.
I am using BREW 2.1.3.

  1. What about IThread?
  2. IShell_Resume can update UI in different cycle!

Thanks
Sam

Hi All,
I will try making a sample application and will update this thread with my findings.

Hi All,
Its working. I tried by making a server in VC++ MFC and connected the BREW client. I was able to read and write data from 4 sockets.
Steps:
1. Ran the server at 4 different PCs @ different ports ;)
2. Connected to it by 4 different sockets.
3. Sent and received data at same time.
PS: Socket communication also works in Background mode.
Thanks
Sam

Hi sam,
can you please share the sample code snippet for running 4 TCP sockets simultaneously.
As I feel there is no multithreading supported in BREW and it is co-operative multithreading, which means each thread will be executed one after the other.
please share the info as how were you able to do this?
Thanks
Basav.
