hi!

i have created my app.mak file through the GenerateARMMakeFile icon from the VS 6.0 IDE..
but when i give command nmake -f app.mak on the command prompt.. i get the following error :
app.mak(260)fatal error U1034: syntax error: seperator missing

when see the definition at line 260 in the app.mak file it is as below:

AEEAppGen.o: ..\..\src\AEEAppGen.c

i dont know if any one has come across this error before... if yes pls let me know the solution... else suggest some solutions..

Thanks

Do you have space in your path, you need to have short formatted path.

Thats typically when its looking for a target rule and instead finds a dependency rule instead (what you have copied is a dependency)
make sure the target rule is defined first, it can also be an earlier typo, or something bad in the target rule.

thanks to all for replying.
i sorted out the problem...
i replaced the AEEAppGen.o: ..\..\src\AEEAppGen.c in the mak file by
$(TARGETDIR)\$(TARGET).o : $(TARGET).c
$(TARGETDIR)\$(TARGET).o : $(TARGET).bid
$(TARGETDIR)\$(TARGET).: $(TARGET)_res.h
and now the mod file has been created...
thnks
