Hi

I have put a file PMD like Ring tone, the idea is to have Ring tone animated but when a single call enters can be listened to the tone but the animation no, some tecnica exists to be able to do it or definitively not bye can thanks. :(

Hi,
Check the device data sheet. PMD can be set as ringer if the data sheet supports it. As well you have to check the MSM chipset that comes with the handset for support of all the features of PMD. If the chipset supports all the features then only you can view the animation. Remember to check how Iringer saves the file. If it saves it as ringer you can not view the effects of PMD file. You can only view the effects of the PMD file as ringer if IRinger saves it as PMD file. Hope it will help u
Thanks and Regards

Has anyone actually seen a handset that supports PMD and can handle both the animation and the music properly? :D

If someone from the support team can direct me to how to get the 'CmxBatchConverter ' tool, I would appreciate it.
I am looking to convert a QCP file to PMD format file and then play it on Motorola V710.
Also, is there any API (2.1 or > ) which would convert my QCP files to PMD format on the device itself?
Thanks!
Arvind

IMEDIAUTIL_EncodeMedia() can be used on the device to wrap a QCP file into a PMD. The QCP file must be full fixed rate.

Well, I started on this route then quickly got blocked as I didn't know many of the structure elements,as to what values to fill them with.
Couldn't find the AEECLSID_PMD even.
Is there a working sample code you can show me ?
Thanks!
