Hi,

we have developed an application with huawei C5300 phone.
When we set the input mode for the text control as AEE_TM_NUMBERS , then when the application is ported on the phone we can enter all the number from 0-9 . but when the input mode is set as AEE_TM_NONE or as ITEXTCTL_SetInputMode(pApp->m_Text , AEE_TM_LETTERS | AEE_TM_NUMBERS); then when the application is ported on the phone we can enter all letter , symbols but the number only between 1-9 can be entered. We are unable to enter a 0 in the text field.

Has anyone faced this problem while programming for Huawei C5300 phone.. or any other phone...

Could this possibly be a device issue??

Any suggestions will help ...

Thanks in advance.
Pribhi.

This would probably be a caused in AEE_TM_LETTERS mode.
And yes this could be a device issue, where in 0 key press changes the case of the letters(Caps to small and vice versa).
You can check the behaviour in the message editor of the phone by selecting the mode of entry as letters.
We encountered a similar issue on Motorola V3C.
To resolve the same, the workaround was to change the mode from letter to numbers just when key 0 was pressed and then switch back to letters mode .
Just give it a try.
