purify exception during profiling of BREW_Simulator.exe

Hi--
ran into the snag (exception) preventing profiling memory utilization (Purify Exists due to the critical exception)
in general, is this the right way to purify Brew app:
1. launch BREW_Simulator.exe Purify within Visual Studio?
Appreciate any help in that matter:)
Environment:
1. Brew 3.1.5 (default emulator)
2. Visual Studio Microsoft Visual C++ .NET (2003)
3. Rational Purify for Windows, build 2003.06.15.734.000 Build 5716
Stack Trace (Brew halted at [E] NPW: NULL pointer write in swscanf {1 occurrence})

I have the similar error try to check memory leaks for my program using
brew simulator. The purify engine stops running after a while with Unhandled exception.
Also purify gives warning when it is instrumenting Brew Simulator.
I am using
1. Brew 3.1.4 emulator
2. Visual Studio Microsoft Visual C++ .NET (2003)
3. Rational Purify for Windows, build 2003.06.15.734.000 Build 5911
Qualcomm guys please letus know what memory leak detection tool you would recommend or u use already for memory leak detecion.
If any one has figured out what version of Brew Simulator works with purify please let me know.
