Can anyone tell me if its possible to turn off individual warnings in RealView ?

I'm sick to death of it bitching that a #IF macro isn't defined and defaults to the zero that you, me and the rest of the world would expect it to.

IMO, this shouldn't be a warning at all but whatever. Can someone help me shut it up please ?

(No, I don't want to change my code behaviour)

There are certain warnings cann't be shut off in ADS/RVCT compiler. Only alternative is to shut off all the warnings with "-W" flag.

OR you could pass everything through "grep -v \#if" :D just joking

ok, thanks guys. I'll probably plump for the -W option then, as I can get devstudio and codewarrior to do my idiocy checking... :)

Personally, I would never EVER want to turn of RealView's warnings because it is so much more finicky than VC and has helped me make my code a gazillion times better - not to mention a good number of bugs it discovered that VC just brushed over.

I agree with Dragon. I usually turn off RVCT warnings, untill it is time to ship. In MSVC you need turn on W4 warning level to get comparable results of RVCT warnings.

Sadly level 4 in VC is not even remote close to the level of scrutiny Realview applies to your code. But I agree. Same thing applies here. In VC I'm always operating at level 4 and in Relaview I always welcome any warnings I get - although I can see Applewood's frustration at that one particular warning, which I haven't been able to silence myself yet.

There are quite a few warnings in RVCT which cann't be shut off without globally turning off all warnings. After paying $1500 or more, I would expect these kinds of features :(
