In my application I have a screen with text controls + softkey menu on it and some custom text, that I draw myself.
After I select text entering mode change and use "Symbols" screen to enter some symbols (or even pres clear from "Symbols screen" to return to text control) my custom drawing gets wiped out.
The question is: when I should redraw it? I found no events from text control that I could use to determine that symbol screen is closed, text control is back to normal and I should redraw any custom text. Is there any way to determine this moment when I should redraw?

I dunno if I have understood your question correctly .....
you say pressing clear button from symbols screen will get you back to text control.
so just capturing AVK_CLR event and checking applet status if it is in symbols screen should help you know when to refresh your cusotm drawing.

yeah, but that situation was just an example...
and there is also a situation when user selects some text entering mode. Then some undocumented EVT_COMMAND is sent to a control and I should redraw on it too. and so on... and so on...
I guess, I'm looking for something general... some magic solution that would work in any case and would not require to handle everything...
thank you for the idea with checking if text control active, I think here is something I can use 8)

Can help out if you can clearly state the exact nature of your problem.
By the way EVT_COMMAND will be send whenever you SELECT an item from the menu.

How can I find out if the applet is in symbols screen?
