I am looking to create a menu control that has a different icon when an item is selected. I have read in the documentation that setting the MP_BI_STATE_IMAGE of the IMENUCTL interface should allow this however the documentation is unclear as to where I would set both images. Searching around on the forums I have yet to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Try using a BCI image, with the first frame as the unselected image, and the second frame as the selected image.

that worked great, thx!

I'm trying to use MP_BI_STATE_IMAGE, but because of the "no frames" condition on it, when my menu draws, it looks terrible. Is there a way to build the frames back into the menu while using MP_BI_STATE_IMAGE? Or is there an alternative way to change the image of the selected menu item on the fly?
