Hi,
Can anyone tell me whether there is any restriction on number of sig files generation for one qualcomm brew user id?
I got to read it somewhere that at max one can generate maximum 10 sig files for 10 different devices for one user id. Wanted to confirm this.

Aahna

Yes, there is some restriction on number of testsigs you can generate. By default, each developer can only generate 10 test sigs but it varies from developer to developer.

Hi Atul,
Thanks for the reply. can you tell how to decide number of test sig files for particular developer id? Any weblink or process to know that?
Also would like to know how can we verify sig files for particular device once generated? I mean couple of sig files are generated already for few devices but because of incorrect naming or device change, they are not working now. So how can I match SIG file for particular device?

Not sure how that count is visible to developers.
By default SIG file gets saved with ESN number, so there shouldn't be any problem with identifying the SIG for specific handset in future. Generally, sig expires within 1-6 months.

Hi Atul,
Not all sig files generated get saved with corresponding device ESN number. some of them get ESN no. in sig file whereas many SIG files I have which don't have ESN number mentioned.
I verified opening in text format. but no clue :( Any other method to verify it?
Thanks,
Aahna

No clues, for me it generates and gets saved with ESN number...then usually I rename each sig to name with device model and ESN.

Hi Jimmy,
Sig file can be generated either using ESN or IMEI or MEID number as well.
So, if you have real device and you have its IMEI, you can generate by mentioning that number here and generate your testSig file
https://brewx.qualcomm.com/testsig/testsig.jsp
In case you need to convert Hex to Dec format or something beacuse of BAD_LENGTH_ERROR or so while generating the sig file, you may use http://www.l4digital.com/Tools/Conversion.aspx to convert to appropriate format.
