Dear all

Im currently developing for the LG VX5200, VX8500 and VX8100. The devices we have at our disposal are not connected to any carrier, which means we can't call them or send them messages, which is something we need to do to test the interrupt behavior of our app. Is there any way of simulating/generating an incoming SMS *on the device* (as opposed to in the simulator) in this case?

From what we've heard, an alarm (either manually through the device's menu or in code) going off will mimic the interrupt behavior of an incoming SMS, but we cant get the alarms to work on our dev handsets. Setting the alarm in the tools menu of the phone seems to work but the alarm never goes off. Does anyone have any clue as to why?

Any help would be much appreciated.
