Hi all,

Would anyone know what format the date_time field is set to for the SMS_MMS database table? I am trying to decode the date and time information from the database file. It is from a HTC smart handset.

An example of the data is:

986785219. Is this stored in Unix epoch time? (Number of seconds from 1970) or is it stored in different format?

The conversion using the unix epoch formula converts the time to 05/05/2001 17:57:30. I was expecting the date and time for messages on the handset to be 2010/2011.

Any ideas?

Thank you

This value seems to be Julian date time , try using JULIANTOSECONDS() which returns number of seconds elapsed since CDMA reference time
equivalent of the specified julian date time.
How did you retrieve data/time from SMS/MMS?

Thank you for the response.
The database file has been retreived from the memory card in the HTC/Backup folder.
How do i find out the specified julian date time? and what is the CDMA reference time?
Thank you

Note that phone reference time is 1980/01/06 00:00:00 UTC and PC reference time is 1970/01/01
00:00:00 UTC(if developing on simulator).
