It's the first article I read for BREW TouchScreen developing.
In Qualcomm's Home page , there is a TouchScreen Sample code. It's also helpful.

Hi All,
I am able to launch softkeypad on Motorola TS phone as well as on LG9700 touchscreen phone.
But I am facing a crash on launching the softkeypad on Samsung R810 phone. I am following the same procedure as given in the BREW application note for this phone.
I also tried :
ITEXTCTL_HandleEvent(pTextCtl, EVT_USER, 0x4508, TRUE);
AND
AEE_TM_TOUCH_NUMERIC/AEE_TM_TOUCH_EXTENDED text entry modes.
but same crash on device.
Do our app on R810 receive suspend when SKP is launched? This is not clear from the documentation that I have.
Did anyone faced similar issue? Please help.
Thanks
Sam

Hi Sam,
I am facing same issue, let me know if you found a solution?
And indeed there is no EVT_APP_SUSPEND sent to app when keypad is available...
thanks

Hi,
The SKP on samsung is not another app as in case of other TS phones that I have. It is just a overlay above my application. Therefore my app doesn get suspended. So if you press any SKP button then the touch events are sent to your app.
Solution:
Send all the pointer events from your app to ITEXT_handleevent if SKP is visible. You may have to change your app design for it.
Issue that I am facing Now
The typed characters in the SKP are not reflected back if I delete all the characters when SKP was launched initialy. If I append anything to the initial chacters that were there on SKP launch then chacters are reflected back on DONE.
Please let me know if you face similar issues.
Thanks
