Hi ,

I am Newbie and coming from J2ME background. I am currently converting my J2ME application to BREW (SDK 2.1).

I would like to be able to send XML Post to my webserver and parse and extract the XML Response that i get back.

Is there an API in BREW that will allow me to handle this ?

I Think i can just Post the XML as a string using the SOCKET Connection but i need to parse the return XML i get and extract some data.

Would appreciate pointers or suggestions.

Regards

You can send and receive data via either ISocket/IWeb interface. IWeb provides http protocol on top of ISocket. You can do http post for sending data from your handset to server.
Currently BREW does not have any native XML parser, you either have to write on your own or get third party solution. In BREW developer extranet there is a third party XML parser extension.

I do not have the access to BREW Extranet documentation.
Can you please provide me with the XML parser. I too need to parse a XML and extract some values.
I'm a newbie to BREW and i come from J2EE background.

That's not the way it works, you'll need to get the extension from the DX.
